Interview with Dr. Peeter Padrik

The third installment of our Digital Health Futures interview series captures the voice of a highly experienced oncologist Dr. Peeter Padrik!

Peeter is one of the leading cancer specialists in Estonia with more than 25 years of experience as a clinician, researcher, and healthcare manager at Tartu University Hospital. In the interview, Peeter talks about his work and how it has been affected by the pandemic. Also, Wired ranks Estonia as 'the world's most digitally advanced society', so we asked Peeter about how the advanced technologies are used in healthcare in his hometown:

"All our health records are digitalised, so we can principally work paper-free. It is much more efficient because you can organise all processes more quickly, and much more information is available and applicable in practical healthcare using digital tools."

Furthermore, he talks about Antogenes, the company he founded, and shares his opinion on how digital can help in detecting and preventing breast cancer.
